Wooden Structure2009 | Individual Assignment Made with wooden sticks of 1.5x2x40cm and based in a 4V geodesic dome, the structure achieved the assigment’s main goal of resisting the biggest load at the maximum height/extension possible. It could resist 44 times its own weight under normal services loads. Breaking Test: A model made with ‘icecream wooden sticks’ of 1x9mm and silicon glued joints was tested under different static load conditions. As each brick has a weight of 2.2 kg and as the model weight was 0.5kg, it could be noticed that the structural system could resist a load of 144 times its own weight until it broke. | ![]() Wooden Structure | ![]() Panel 2 |
